About Me

My name is Gayle Curry. I began teaching in 1997 in Los Fresnos.  I have taught for Los Fresnos CISD, Point Isabel ISD, UTB, and UT-PA.  I've taught 2nd and 3rd grade self-contained, 4th grade math and science, 3rd-6th Literacy, middle and high school marine science, and college level developmental reading and undergraduate reading courses.  Throughout the course of the M. Ed Educational Technology program, I was an elementary teacher at Derry Elementary in Port Isabel, Texas.  I have taught 4th grade math and science for the past 4 years.  As a direct result of completing the M. Ed Educational Technology program, I applied for, was recommended for, and accepted a Technology Teacher position at the Jr. High in Port Isabel.   In addition to the newly acquired technology position, the M. Ed Educational Technology program has helped me enhance instruction by integrating technology into my lessons across the curriculum and share my knowledge with my fellow teachers.  As a result, my students, my campus, and my district have benefited from the knowledge and skills I have gained from participating in the M. Ed Educational Technology and MSTTPA Go! Program.
